18 Mar 2024

The team at B&P (Leicester) are big supporters of the city’s YMCA and most recently, they provided 75 specially designed ‘sleep out’ boxes for a charity sleep out at Leicester City Football Club’s King Power Stadium.

The person sized boxes were manufactured from board donated by the business’s sister company, Board24, and manufactured at the Leicester site before being delivered direct to the football ground.

Gregor Troup, Managing Director, Boxes and Packaging (Leicester) commented; “This is a great event and well done to everyone who took part and helped to raise funds for this amazing charity that does so much for young people in our community.

“We look forward to supporting them throughout the year with other events they have planned.”

Established in the 1883 YMCA Leicestershire help young people from across the county who have no safe place to call home, housing 109 young people every night

This year’s sleep out event is expected to raise c. £20,000 which will help to support more young people to set up a home of their own and take the small steps required to move on from challenging circumstances or relationships.

A spokesperson for YMCA Leicestershire added; “Our thanks go to Greg, George and all the team at B&P (Leicester) for making such a fantastic contribution to our Sleep Easy 2024 event, we couldn’t find the right size boxes anywhere and we were blown away when they told us they’d make bespoke boxes for our needs. We are grateful for their ongoing support of the work we do.”
