Swindon team welcomes new Managing Director
26 Apr 2022
Boxes and Packaging (Swindon) has officially welcomed a new Managing Director after the retirement of Paul Fishlock.
Josh Stell, 27, officially took over the reins in January 2022 with Paul’s support when required, however he has been MD Designate since September 2021 becoming familiar with the business in that time.
Josh, who has a First-Class Honours Degree in Business from the University of Liverpool, began his career as a Graduate Trainee with Lidl, a rigorous scheme which instils business best practice in all those that undertake the course, alongside a hands-on training approach.
However, after successfully completing the course, Josh decided to diversify into manufacturing and when the role became available at Logson Group as an Account Manager, he seized the opportunity to move into a business-to-business environment.
After a short time, Josh embarked upon the first Logson Group Talent Programme which saw him experience different roles across various businesses. Josh then spent almost a year at Boxes and Packaging (Doncaster) as part of the senior management team delivering strategic projects before he made the move to Swindon to succeed Paul.
“Everything that I have accomplished at Logson, and Boxes and Packaging, has been invaluable as I officially take on my new role, and I am so looking forward to the challenge of developing our Swindon site further with the fantastic team here,” said Josh. “2022 is already shaping up to be a pivotal year in our history as we enjoy a year of investment to increase capacity in line with demand, and to elevate the support we offer to the ecommerce sector in particular.
“Paul has been such an intrinsic part of the business for so many years and he will be missed greatly by all of the team here. I would like to wish Paul a very happy, and well-deserved retirement and I look forward to seeing plenty of photos from all of the travelling he has planned!”.
Gavin Richardson, CEO Boxes and Packaging commented; “Josh is hitting the ground running and already knows the way that Swindon works, his team members, and many of its customers meaning the transition has been seamless.
“His drive and enthusiasm are evident, and we wish him every success in his new role.”
Away from the business Josh is an avid F1 fan and has a list of circuits and races which he wants to visit!
