Manchester machinery investment

At the end of last year our Manchester team took delivery of its latest machine investment, a Weipong three colour, three metre printer slotter with rotary die cutter.
Arriving just a few months after the business relocated to new, more spacious premises, the Weipong is becoming a popular machine in the corrugated industry.
The first Weipong within the Boxes and Packaging group it is capable of c.10,000 feeds per hour and will bring additional production capacity to the Manchester production facility.
Stuart Clarke, Managing Director, Boxes and Packaging (Manchester) commented; “This fantastic new investment will give us fast setting times, excellent print quality and strong productivity and is a welcome addition to the machinery portfolio here.
“It will help us to support our ever-growing customer base with their requirements and the ongoing demand for sustainable packaging solutions. We expect it to be fully operational, after installation, commissioning, and training, by the end of January.”
Further investment in a new Kirby folder gluer will further strengthen the capabilities of the site and bring added capacity and diversity to the production capacity and future proofing the site for many years to come.
Stuart concluded; “I am proud to lead the team at this new Manchester site and it is very pleasing to have such credible investment enabling us to maximise our output. Our customers will continue to benefit from our excellent customer service and this greater capacity will only serve to support them further.”
