Swindon half century

As the cricket world cup gets underway, two members of our Swindon team have clocked up half a century between them!

Tracy Hewitt has been with us for 20 years and is our sales officer manager and Shirley Habgood has been with us for 30 years and is one of our senior production operators.

Tracy joined the business as an internal sales adviser has witnessed many changes with new machines, a new factory and lots of progress particularly where technology is concerned.

Tracy commented; “I’ve seen some colleagues come and go, although some have been here since I started and even longer than that. I’ve also got long standing phone relationships with many customers and suppliers, who I know very well, but wouldn’t recognise them if I bumped into them on the street! All in all, it’s been a great 20 years – I don’t think I’ll make another 20 but you never know!”

Meanwhile Shirley began her career as a part time operator when the business was small, family run, and had only five machines. Fast forward thirty years and now it’s a multi-million-pound operation with around seventeen machines.

Shirley said, “I have grown in my role as production operator, becoming a senior member of the team. I have also become a First Aider, and Health and Safety Representative which I really enjoy. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working for the business, it really has flown by!”
