Manchester team relocates to new 4040 sqm factory
25 Sep 2023
Boxes and Packaging (Manchester) has successfully relocated to new premises, just around the corner from its Bredbury site which they had occupied for 25 years.
The new 4040 sqm production facility, which is also home to the administration team, is located on Corrie Way and has been acquired as the business outgrew its Southside site.
The move has allowed the reconfiguring of the layout of the production lines to maximise output efficiencies, with all existing machinery being transferred to the new facility.
Additional machinery acquisitions are currently underway to enable manufacturing capacity to grow further in the future.
Stuart Clarke, Managing Director, Boxes and Packaging (Manchester) commented; “This is the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Boxes and Packaging (Manchester) and we are thrilled as to how smoothly the changeover has gone.
“It’s been an amazing team effort and it’s great to see the site being fully operational.”
The Manchester site has customers across the North west and North Midlands. It’s satellite site in Bolton remains unaffected by the move.
It’s machinery portfolio includes 2 colour 3m wide printing capacity, large format die cutting, and multiple finishing machines. The addition of a second printer slotter at the end of the year, and a auto flatbed die-cutter will create the capacity for growth.
Stacey Austin, Regional Managing Director, added; “It is very pleasing to see the acquisition of Corrie Way come to fruition after months of hard work behind the scenes.
“This strategic move will allow the Manchester team to continue to grow their customer portfolio, drive greater production efficiencies, and be in a strong position for future expansion into new markets and to offer additional capabilities.”
