Making dreams come true

Our Doncaster team has recently supported The Dream Makers, an initiative by Xerox in support of the Prince’s Trust.

The Dream Makers is a project committed to championing young people and creating opportunities and experiences they deserve to thrive and succeed through life.

Through the initiative they aim to:

• Champion community spirit through fundraising
• Find opportunities for children to develop where they feel welcome and valued
• Create a legacy initiative that the Trust can continue to drive

In its latest challenge the Dream Makers team set themselves a target of finding 480 pledges in four weeks which would enable them to deliver football coaching days during the school holidays.

Partnering with prestigious UK football clubs, each pledge will cover the full cost of a child to come to one of these coaching days, work with Club coaches and have the opportunity to thrive and develop their football skills .

The Dream Makers team has been working with charities and youth clubs locally to those clubs to make sure that this is accessible to all children.

“Giving our young people opportunities to enjoy sport in their communities is incredibly important. It’s not just about the wellbeing aspect, it’s about the friendships they make, the people they meet and the positive influence that sport can have in so many ways.
