Leicester team donate toys for Christmas

Staff at our Leicester site wanted to give their support to a local charity this year and decided upon ‘Toys on the Table’ a charity working in the Leicester and Leicestershire area which has enabled thousands of disadvantaged children regardless of faith to receive gifts during the festive period. The charity distributes toys via referrals from social services, foodbanks, schools, and women’s aid groups.

Toys on the Table started in the early 1980′s, when the Leicester Round Table 39 established the project. Last year they provided over 15,000 presents to 4850 children of all backgrounds in Leicestershire and Rutland.

The Leicester team gave generously, and one member of the team also popped along to help wrap up presents at the charity.

Georgina Spencer-Lockwood, Boxes and Packaging (Leicester) who co-ordinated the appeal commented; “What a great team effort this has been, and it was so lovely to meet with Mac, who heads up the charity, when we delivered the toys to the ‘grotto’ and to meet all his volunteer ‘elves’!

“It’s such an amazing charity and thanks to our fantastic team, more children will receive a gift during this festive season.”
