Fierce intergroup competition takes place on the water!

A fierce and bravely fought Dragon Boat Race took place between all 10 business within the group that we are part of including teams from other Logson Group companies – Logson, Boxshop, Cardboard Box Company, Jardin Corrugated Cases, Board 24 and Cases 24.

A chilly, but fine morning, saw the teams to take to the water with team Boxes and Paddling displaying their incredibly competitive edge from the very beginning.

Representing Team Boxes and Paddling were Gavin Richardson, CEO; Stacey Austin, Regional Managing Director; Andrew Cairns, B&P Birmingham; Gavin O’Malley, B&P Dumbarton; Gordon Moon, Boxshop; Joanne Roberts, Tom Winpenny and John Morris, B&P Manchester; John Ebdon, B&P Oxford; Karen Richardson, B&P Leicester; Lucy Baker, B&P Doncaster and Wojciech Nowotny, B&P Merseyside.

Stacey Austin who had the fortunate/unfortunate task of being Captain for the day commented; “What an amazing event it was – and the very fact that we made it there all together at the same time was staggering, given I organised all the travel! Our thanks go to the team at W&R Barnett for hosting us in their home city of Belfast, and our warmest congratulations go to the Thompson boat who were crowned winners on the day. We raised a little over £10,000 for our charity, Macmillan Cancer Research so it was a pretty good days ‘work’ really!
