Boxes and Packaging defined
14 Jul 2021
We suppose the clue is in our name as to what we do, however we thought it was perhaps a good idea to share with you what we do and the packaging solutions we can provide.
Boxes
First up are boxes and we’re exceptional at making boxes! We have an enviable reputation as one of the leading corrugated case manufacturers in the UK. We manufacture all standard FEFCO codes, and a whole host of bespoke boxes from luxury gift packaging to pallet boxes, and robust, global supply chain solutions. Our teams across the UK have years of experience in producing the highest quality boxes and have won many an award for doing so. As a result, we have been the packaging provider of choice for many industry sectors including food, drink, manufacturing, automotive, household and DIY, electrical and more.
Whilst the concept might seem straightforward there is nothing simple about the boxes we manufacture. We work with our customers to ensure the correct closure is chosen, that eye catching print is designed and that necessary details are printed to the outside of the box or that internal print is used to reinforce brand or communicate with the customer. Sometimes the box is enough, but sometimes a little more is required.
So that’s the boxes, how about the packaging part?
Packaging
Ok, so it’s fair to say that boxes come under this umbrella too, however with corrugated being such a versatile material, it’s easily used in so many other applications.
It can be used to create divisions and fittings to go inside boxes and provide unrivalled support and protection. Many customers are making the switch to corrugated solutions, often coupled with a box to form a complete pack, to allow them to stop using non-recyclable materials such as single use plastic.
It is also the perfect material to create point of sale, countertop, and free-standing display unit packaging. Its robust nature gives presence and longevity for brands in a retail environment and gives manufacturers flexibility to either supply the display already packed with the merchandise or send separately for independent retailers to fill and top up as required.
This means it’s also great for one off, or seasonal promotions that manufacturers wish to promote through their retail network.
And then there is the e-comm packaging network. This flourishing sector means that innovative design is what’s required by many customers, expanding into or growing their market share, to really shake up the market and meet the high expectations of customers, particularly in niche or luxury brands.
Corrugated is so versatile that we’ve also made houses, planes, HGV’s, dinosaurs and many more special requests. Indeed, our colleagues at Cardboard Box Company made a fully working cinema and remember the cardboard castles that were popping up across the UK a couple of years ago. If you perhaps thought corrugated wouldn’t work as a packaging material for you, we hope we’ve shown you that there is a good chance it will.
So, that’s a two-minute overview of what we do. Suffice to say, if it’s made out of corrugated there’s a pretty good chance, we can help you. What are you waiting for?
