Over £15,500 raised as team B&P Walk All Over Cancer

The month of March saw nineteen members of staff from across the Boxes and Packaging group take part in the annual Walk All Over Cancer challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

All members of the team committed to the challenge, and to the fundraising, and were out getting their steps in at all hours of the day and night to reach their target, taking in some stunning scenery along the way.

Pleasingly, and with sincere thanks to everyone who donated, we have raised almost £8000 in sponsorship. This means that we were the fourth team in the league tables in terms of raising money during the challenge!

Gavin Richardson, CEO, Boxes and Packaging commented; “My sincere thanks and congratulations go to everyone who took part and gave up their time each day, no matter what the weather or what else was happening in their lives, to complete the challenge. The amount raised is fantastic and the parent company will now match the amount taking the total to a little over £15,600.”

Prizes were on offer for the team members who walked the most steps during the challenge and also raised the most money individually. Margaret, from our Boxshop site, took the accolade for most steps walked with an amazing 579,032; whilst Hansa from our Manchester site raised an amazing £1377!
Both will receive a box of Hotel Chocolat luxury chocolates, a bottle of Champagne and a £100 M&S gift card.
