Manchester welcomes new MD

Our Manchester site, which operates across two locations in Bredbury and Bolton, has welcomed a new, well sort of, Managing Director!

Stuart Clarke, from Glossop, has been with the Logson Group since its inception starting at Boxes and Packaging in Birmingham, before spending the last three years at its Doncaster site. However, returning to Manchester is a real homecoming for Stuart, as he began his corrugated career in the very same building in Bredbury when it was Granada Packaging.

Since January, Stuart has been working alongside retiring MD Paul Gavin to familiarise himself with the business before officially taking over this week.

“Making the move to Manchester is a great step for me and I look forward to continuing the great work that the team do here,” said Stuart. “The portfolio of work and machinery is a little different to that at Doncaster, however, there is a great platform to further develop the business, increase production capacity and support businesses in the North West who choose corrugated as their preferred packaging material.”

Whilst the Manchester site works across all corrugated disciplines, it has also become known for the high-quality Shelf Ready Packaging (SRP) and Point of Sale (POS) work that it does for a variety of customers in many sectors. The team are proud to work with brands that supply all the major supermarkets, household names within the cycle and leisure industry and supports a wide range of online retailers both large and small. Specialist areas include working with chemical companies who distribute their products across the world and several brands across the automotive sector, both OEM’s and consumables, for both the domestic and professional market.
