Counter Top Display success for new ‘buzzy’ business
15 Oct 2020
A newly launched business based in Oxford has turned to the Boxes and Packaging team to create an eye catching counter top display unit that has made it all the way to the displays of local John Lewis stores.
Neve’s Bees, owned by Julie Macken and her daughter Neve, was born after a house move to Oxford that had bee hives in the garden. A business opportunity was spotted, coupled with their desire for natural beauty products and the rest, as they say, is history!
Fast forward a few years and Julie’s products were ready to be shared with lots of happy buyers and, after her husband made an initial display from wood to showcase the products, it soon became apparent that more volume, and a way of shipping products to retailers, was required.
Working with Nikki Shield of Designs Like These, Julie and our designer Anthony Burton at our Oxford site, a corrugated counter-top display unit was created that captured the brand perfectly.
Manufactured from E/150KT with a two-colour print, the collaborative design was a great mix of brand creativity and vision, and practical and aesthetic corrugated knowledge.
In addition to the display box, a protective wrap was made from the waste material to enable the product to be safely despatched and the header to the fully packed box simply attached by the retailer.
Anthony commented; “This was a great project to work on and help Julie launch her new business to a wider audience including the shelves of major retailers as well as independent boutiques, gift shops and online. The emphasis for all products is on sustainability, protecting our environment and choosing products that are good for us – Neve’s Bees and corrugated complement each other perfectly and we wish Julie every success as her business continues to grow.”
5p from each sale is also donated to BBOWT (Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trusts).
