Group H&S Manager reaches charity fundraising target

07 Jul 2020

Our Group Health and Safety Manger, Mark Ryan, has smashed his original lockdown fundraising target after organising a series of events.

What started out as him and his football friends donating their weekly subs to a Nottingham based homeless charity during lockdown, carried on to include Zoom bingo nights and football quizzes.

“This charity works in my local community and people who rely on this service will have needed it more than ever in recent months,” said Mark. “I’m delighted to have raised £2,000 completely exceeding my £750 target and my thanks go to friends, family and colleagues who gave their time and their money to support this amazing charity.”

The £2000 will now be matched by the group company.

“Now we’ve got some great momentum behind us there seems no good reason to stop so our next big event will be a cycle ride from Nottingham to Skegness on 20th September,” said Mark. “We’re looking for as many participants as possible and for each person to set up their own Just Giving page so that donating by their own supporters is as simple as possible.”
