Oxford support Wine GB’s first marketing conference

The UK Wine Industry is big business and, with over 500 commercial vineyards in the UK, it’s easy to see why.

As the industry moves into a new decade, WineGB decided to host its inaugural Business and Marketing Conference at Denbies Vineyard in Surrey.

As a silver patron of WineGB, the event was attended by representatives from our Oxford site who are renowned for their award-winning packaging solutions across transit, gift and display sectors.

“It was great to hear the strategic ideas for the future of the wine industry across the UK and to appreciate the potential that is still untapped,” said Jonathan Lewis, Managing Director, Boxes and Packaging (Oxford) “It was also the perfect forum to network with other providers in the production, bottling and distribution loop and to showcase the work that we do to support the vineyards, manufacturers and distributors.”

In addition to guest speakers, who encouraged discussion on everything from marketing to supply demand, a number of other patrons of WineGB exhibited and included Rankin Cork and Royston Labels.

“Such events are a great opportunity for us to highlight the versatility of corrugated in both protective, display and gift packaging and how we work with wine producers to create an on-brand, eye catching, yet practical solution,” said Jonathan. “The growth of the UK wine sector continues to surprise and as consumer awareness grows we expect demand to increase.
