Doncaster team contribute to local flood aid programme

02 Dec 2019

Just a few weeks ago, communities in Doncaster saw their homes and businesses flooded after staggering amounts of rain fell in a little over twenty-four hours on already saturated ground.

Residents and business owners in the villages of Bentley and Fishlake, are now undertaking the vast task of cleaning and eventually restoring their homes and properties and, as part of the help that Rotary Clubs in the area have pledged to these communities, Boxes and Packaging (Doncaster) has donated over 500 boxes to help with the packing of personal, household and business items.

“This has been a very difficult time for Doncaster communities but the spirit of the townsfolk to support and help those affected has been amazing,” said Stuart Clarke Managing Director Boxes and Packaging (Doncaster). “Donating these boxes has meant that those who are having to vacate their homes whilst they are renovated, are now able to safely remove and store their possessions with ease.”

A variety of sizes of boxes were supplied along with packing tape to assist those most in need at this challenging time.

Stuart concluded; “We send our very best wishes to those in our community who have been affected and commend the work that the volunteers are doing to help everyone deal with the tasks in hand.”
