School presented with fundraising cheque
28 Nov 2019
Earlier this year some of the team from Boxes and Packaging (Birmingham) completed a 30K walk in the Peak District to raise funds for Penn Hall school in Wolverhampton.
The school, which supports children with complex physical and medical needs and learning and communication challenges, is attended by the son of Emma Edwards, Administration Manager at Birmingham and this year, in addition to the walk the team have been fundraising in earnest to support this valuable community asset.
“We had a great couple of hours at the school and they made us very welcome as we saw first-hand the work that they do and the wonderful atmosphere that they create for the children,” said Peter Gosling Managing Director Boxes and Packaging (Birmingham). “We were so pleased to be able to present them with such a fantastic amount of money and we shall look forward to hearing next year how this has been used.”
During the year, the team have raised £4268 and this was presented to head teacher at the school, Fiona Gillespie.
“Penn Hall school seems like an inspirational place to be but it relies heavily on donations to be able to do what is does to such a high standard,” said Peter. “We urge other businesses in the local community to get on board or support similar schools in their area that provide such wonderful places for children and their families.”
