Boxes and Packaging (Merseyside) and Boxes and Packaging (Manchester) sites have recently joined forces to highlight their manufacturing capabilities in the North West of the country specifically with regard their sustainability.

An entry into the Insider Business Made in the North West awards has seen them shortlisted for the Sustainability/Ethical Manufacturer award with the winner being announced at a glittering awards dinner on Thursday 9th May at The Lowry in Manchester.

“This is a great achievement for our teams in the North West and is well deserved for the commitment they have to supplying sustainable packaging solutions and to their own ethical business operations,” said Stacey Austin Regional Managing Director Boxes and Packaging. “Such events always attract a great range of business from the region and we wish them all every success.”

The Made in the North West awards showcase a range of criteria pertaining to manufacturing businesses across the region which is a significant wealth generator and which represents around 18% of the UK’s manufacturing output.

“We are proud to support a number of fellow manufacturing businesses in the North West across a wide variety of sectors including automotive, food and drink, pharmaceutical and components,” said Stacey. “It is an exciting time to be working in manufacturing as investment and opportunities continue to present themselves and the next generation are encouraged to choose from its myriad career opportunities.”
