Challenges for Charity gets off to a great start
08 Apr 2019
Teams at our sites across the UK have been committed to raising money for a range of local and national charities since the introduction of a charity support scheme by the owners of the group.
Since the scheme’s inception in August 2018 seven different charity events have been participated in raising almost £4,000, with a further four already organised and many more in the early stages of planning.
“Commitment to such events demonstrate a personal strength that we admire and commend and we are proud of each and every person who has given up time to contribute towards these events,” said Gavin Richardson CEO Boxes and Packaging. “Charitable causes are entirely personal with members of our team supporting both national and local ones, however all play a vital part in offering support in so many ways.”
From Sky Dives, to 10K runs, to punishing cycle rides all the challenges have been immensely meaningful with some members of the team tackling new personal goals.
“In the next few months we are actively encouraging even more members of our teams to take part in charity events either individually, or with colleagues,” said Gavin. “As the summer arrives the possibility of dragon boat racing, Tough or Pretty Mudder or endurance events looms – the only question is what challenges will our teams take on next?”
