SWINDON MD CELEBRATES 30 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

It was 1989 when Paul Fishlock joined a boxes and packaging company in Swindon and since then he has enjoyed a superb career in the world of corrugated.

Originally assuming a role in production, he moved into sales before becoming MD in 2005, just after Boxes and Packaging (Swindon) was acquired by the Logson Group, and during that time he has grown the business from a turnover of £3.25m to £7.2m with plans in place to achieve £10m by 2021.

During that time many things have changed; the advent of technology has seen working practices dominated by computers, the digital age has revolutionised the software available to do so many essential tasks from running machines to planning transport schedules but one thing has remained constant – the place that corrugated has as a packaging material.

“The way that we go about our day-to-day business has undoubtedly changed however those core elements of delivering exceptional customers service, manufacturing a quality product and creating a great working environment are still the things that make Boxes and Packaging (Swindon) a great place to work,” said Paul. ““It’s been a fantastic journey and a move to a brand new factory four years ago was pivotal in our growth plans and the next chapter of my career and the business.”

Paul concluded; “I can’t quite believe where the 30 years have gone but I have enjoyed my career in corrugated and look forward to continued growth and prosperity with the team.”
