Merseyside Machine Investment Stuck on Success

14 Mar 2018

Amazingly, a year has passed since the installation of a new gluer at our Merseyside site, and it has had a significant impact on production capabilities.

Delivering a range of gluing options for corrugated packaging solutions The Lamina Folder Gluer CLG 1812 has unlocked possibilities and increased capacity with efficiencies in this element of production enhanced.

Supporting a variety of customer requirements, the gluer is also ideally suited to the ever-growing e-commerce sector – its tape-applicator for postal packs and self-seal mail order packs supports this with ease and has allowed the continuing diversity of the Merseyside client base.

The compact design meant that installation had little impact on the layout of the factory integrating easily into the work flow system. It’s touch screen activation and monitoring, ability to have its operating status continually displayed and the opportunity to integrate cold gluing capabilities alongside the typical hot melt function, has presented operators with uncomplicated procedures which deliver high performance results.

“The Lamina Folder Gluer continues to be a vital part of the manufacturing operations at Merseyside and has been a superb investment increasing efficiencies in this particular type of work,” said Stefan Weig Managing Director Boxes and Packaging (Merseyside) Ltd. “We continue to support customers, both old and new with the host of gluing options we can now offer for a huge range of packaging requirements.

Stefan concluded; “The Lamina Folder Gluer can deliver up to 75 metres per minute and with its non-stop section belt feeder is ideal for processing one-point glued boxes or three-point glued crash lock boxes. It is now an integral part of our operations and an investment which has paid dividends.”
