Planning Ahead – How to Tackle Christmas 2018

With a little over 365 days to go until Christmas 2018 you may think that it is far too early to start thinking about that!
But for many of our customers, especially those in the retail sector, planning ahead to create design led, innovative packaging solutions which are cost effective and add value to brands, early in the new year is the time to start putting plans in place.
Christmas 2017 began for us at the end of 2016 with customers across the country instigating discussions about their vision for how 2017 would look for them. Covering creative ideas as well as sales targets and profitability from business plans we work with them all to find ways in which all the objectives can be fulfilled. For many of our existing customers, we already had new ideas for the next festive season and we were keen to arrange meetings to showcase these innovations.
“Corrugated packaging now has the capabilities to fulfil utilitarian outer packaging ideal for ecommerce, transit and protection but also creative packaging solutions with amazing designs and prints,” said Gareth Stell UK sales director Logson Group. “Over the last few years we have seen a definitive shift in customer requirements which in part have been driven by the Boxes and Packaging group as we have pushed the boundaries of corrugated gift packaging supporting consumer demands and expectations.”
Working across a variety of industry sectors the Boxes and Packaging group began producing elements of 2017 Christmas packaging during the summer to allow packing and distribution ready for despatch as the seasonal demand began.
