Boxes Donated to Midlands Baby Charity
11 Oct 2017
Boxes and Packaging (Leicester) has recently supported local charity Archie’s Angels with the donation of boxes to enable them to send out items to babies born premature and/or requiring care in the early days after being born.
Archie’s Angels, a charitable organisation, was set up in memory of baby Archie who was born prematurely at 31 weeks and sadly passed away six weeks later. His parents, and other helpers at the charity, have been fundraising since 2013. They were delighted to receive confirmation just a short time ago that they now have registered charity status.
Over the years, the charity has carried out various fundraising activities such car boot sales and raffles, fancy dress parties, sponsored cycle rides and runs which sees the local community taking part to support this fantastic cause. All funds raised are used to support the needs of babies that are born too soon, those who may need specialised care after arriving in the world and of course, their parents and families too.
In the past donations have been made to neonatal care units for essential equipment or to create care packages to send to babies in need, which is where our boxes will be put to good use.
The charity organisers personally supported Tommy’s and bliss before setting up Archies Angels, now they support individual premature babies and neonatal units.
