Birmingham Team Support Charity Cycle Ride

05 Oct 2017

Our Birmingham team pledged support to a charity cycle race without even taking to two wheels!

Making a donation to the fundraising efforts of DENSO’s Telford site – a long standing customer of our Birmingham site – the team contributed towards the £12,500 target (which Denso have then doubled) for its chosen charities.

“This is a fantastic way to celebrate 25 years in business and we were happy to support them and the charities they were helping,” said Stuart Clarke Managing Director Boxes and Packaging (Birmingham) Ltd. “Many of the cyclists were undertaking personal challenges to ensure they were fit enough to participate and it was the least we could do from the comfort of our nice warm office!”

The team was made up of British and Japanese expatriate cyclists with all of them completing the first ever 100K Birmingham Velo safely, although one of the Japanese expatriates has already sold his bike vowing to never get on one again!

The sum of £25,000 has now been distributed to local charities in the Telford area which were selected by the DENSO team.
