Swindon Doubles Die Cut Capacity

The installation of a new machine is always an exciting time and staff at the Swindon site are delighted with their latest addition – a flatbed die cutter – especially as it has doubled its die cutting capacity!

The fully automatic Maramatsu die cutter adds to the existing flat bed and rotary die cut capacity and will make a huge difference to the work the Swindon site can now undertake.

“The relocation of the business in 2015 was the first in a series of improvements and developments which were necessary to facilitate our growth strategy,” said Paul Fishlock Managing Director Boxes and Packaging (Swindon). “Restructuring the business has enabled us to improve our performance and operations resulting in increased efficiencies and OTIF targets.”

The machine is effective for making precision die-cuts at high speeds. Benefits of flatbed die cutting include cost effective options, greater tolerance on thicker board grades and high design flexibility. Coupled with its fast setting times the Maramatsu machine is perfect for medium to low volume orders and ideal for complex designs styles giving customers increased flexibility in their packaging solution choices.
