To support ongoing growth at its Birmingham plant and across the group, Boxes and Packaging has invested in a BOBST Visioncut 1.6 to increase production capabilities for its die-cut work.
Renowned throughout the packaging industry for its excellent production credentials, the 1.6m wide machine offers high quality flat-bed die-cutting on a range of materials from micro-flutes to double wall corrugated. Supported by its clever ‘workflow’ design and change over times of less than 10 minutes, the Bobst is the perfect solution to support the operational needs and production capacities of the Birmingham plant.
Credited with many industry awards, the Birmingham plant specialises in die cut printed corrugated packaging with expertise in the automotive, DIY and engineering sectors. It offers a range of packaging products and solutions to businesses in and around the Midlands region.
Stuart Clarke, Managing Director of Boxes and Packaging (Birmingham), commented; “This exciting investment will allow us to support the ever-increasing demand for die-cut boxes and give our customers increased flexibility and improved lead times. Bobst machinery is renowned for being highly productive, easy to operate and perform consistently well even when at full capacity and this investment will complement our existing range of machinery bringing greater diversity and opportunity for the business.”
