Boxes and Packaging Highly Commended at UK Packaging Awards
13 Nov 2015
The UK Packaging Awards celebrated its tenth year of recognising and rewarding the greatest in design, innovation and business performance in the UK packaging industry on Wednesday 11 November 2015 at The Hilton on Park Lane.
Over the past 10 years, the event has grown to become the sector’s biggest night out and its most prestigious prize, judged by a panel of the most influential packaging buyers and specifiers in the business.
The awards were attended by over 600 guests from across all sectors of the UK’s packaging industry with comedian Simon Evans hosting the event alongside Packaging News Editor, Philip Chadwick.
Boxes and Packaging were Highly Commended by judges for their design in the ‘Supply Chain Solution’ category with customer’s design Porta Romana lampshade pack.
The new design created two generic packs to hold a range of lampshades, saving the customer money in void fill spend, plus storage costs. The range of boxes has been reduced from four packs to two and returns of damaged lampshades has reduced to zero. Overall providing a number of benefits to the customer.
