Boxes and Packaging (Merseyside), recently achieved British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Food Safety Certification. BRC is a leading global quality and food safety certification program. The audit was carried out by NSF Knight, who are the third largest UKAS Accredited Body in the UK and have consistently received a 5 star rating since the system was introduced by the BRC.

The BRC Packaging and Packaging Materials Standard is a leading global brand and the first Standard in the world to be recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GSFI) benchmarking committee.

Stefan Weig, Merseyside Managing Director comments; “In order to achieve the BRC Certification we put a team together to focus on standards, procedures and quality improvement. With this team now in place we can ensure that the standard is maintained along with buy-in from the rest of the team. This gives us a strong position in the food packaging sector and highlights to our customers our ongoing improvement.”
