Working in Partnership with Abel & Cole

Boxes and Packaging (Swindon) have been working in partnership with Abel & Cole, who supply organic food direct to households all around the UK.

The company have recently expanded their offering to introduce a new line which is a recipe in a box, whereby they include all the ingredients required for a recipe direct to the customer. Having all the ingredients weighed, calculated and selected to complete a recipe is fairly straight forward to pack up until it requires just one egg!

Regulations require that eggs can only be packed by the egg producer. So rather than ripping up standard egg boxes, Abel & Cole wanted a solution which could be sent direct to the producer for packing. Our solution also significantly improved the image, presentation and protection of the eggs.

Our designer set about designing a box that would protect the egg, promote the Abel & Cole name and be 100% recyclable, to ensure they are in line with the company’s aim to recycle any boxes they can’t use, and reuse the boxes they can.

The customer was delighted with the solution we provided and have not had any scrambled eggs delivered. Due to the success of this recent project, Abel & Cole also asked Boxes and Packaging to supply a Christmas gift box.
