Starpack Winners

Boxes and Packaging (Birmingham) and (Oxford), are proud to have been awarded a ‘Silver’ and ‘Highly Commended’ respectively, at this year’s Starpack Awards. The awards will be presented on 30th September at The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) in London.
The Starpack Awards Scheme is now in its 55th year and celebrates best practice in packaging design, innovation, environmental excellence and improvement to the supply chain, championing the needs of the consumer.
Boxes and Packaging (Birmingham) received Silver for its ‘Slow Cooker Pack’ for Third Angle.
Judges commented; “Great bit of engineering, excellent modularity/flexibility. Simple solution to modular product. We love the Kraft feel to it, neat and tidy, beautiful and potential for secondary use.”
Boxes and Packaging (Oxford) received Highly Commended for its ‘Lighting Transit Pack’ for Orluna Lighting, showcasing how Boxes and Packaging can make bespoke solutions specific to customers’ needs. Judges commented; “Good solution and versatile. Clear answer to brief. Solid engineering solution. Easy to make up.”
Starpack is the premier U.K. annual scheme recognising innovation in packaging design and technology. Organised by The Packaging Society, a division of IOM3, Starpack constitutes the UK packaging industry’s most prestigious awards, aiming to help raise packaging standards in the UK by rewarding and encouraging creativity. They are considered an integral part of the packaging industry, and the culmination of the Awards at the annual Packaging Awards Ceremony is the highlight of the packaging industry calendar.
