11 Jul 2013
Boxes and Packaging (Oxford), part of the Logson Group, proudly collected a ‘Highly Commended’ award at this year’s Starpack Awards. The awards were presented on the 11th July at The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) in London.
The Starpack Awards Scheme is now in its 54th year and celebrates best practice in packaging design, innovation, environmental excellence and improvement to the supply chain, championing the needs of the consumer. Boxes and Packaging (Oxford) received Highly Commended for its Lampshade Support Fitting in the ‘Transit Category’, showcasing how Boxes and Packaging can make bespoke solutions specific to customers’ needs.
Starpack is the premier U.K. annual scheme recognising innovation in packaging design and technology. Organised by The Packaging Society, a division of IOM3, Starpack constitutes the UK packaging industry’s most prestigious awards, aiming to help raise packaging standards in the UK by rewarding and encouraging creativity. They are considered an integral part of the packaging industry, and the culmination of the Awards at the annual Packaging Awards Ceremony is the highlight of the packaging industry calendar.
The judges commented “The pack works well, a good solution. Simple insert protects an expensive product and could become the industry way of doing it! Interesting way to protect a fragile product through its journey, flexible too”.
