10 Apr 2013
The business, which was founded in 1988 in Swindon, was launched as a customer focused sheet plant, offering a one-stop-shop for all customers’ needs. It has since expanded to twelve sites across the UK employing 400 people, all still following the same customer excellence ethos that was adopted back at its inception. It is also an integral member of Logson Group, the UK’s largest independent corrugated packaging group, which was launched in 2010.
To mark the milestone, Boxes and Packaging held a commemorative party on Saturday 6th April to celebrate achievements from the past 25 years, and also to toast the exciting future of business. In attendance were the original owners of the business, Mr Shearer Sellars and his wife Sue Sellars, as well as current Logson Group joint owner, Mike Stephenson; Logson Group CEO, Alex Kelly; Boxes and Packaging CEO, Gavin Richardson and Boxes and Packaging UK Sales Director, Gareth Stell.
Additionally, Boxes and Packaging is paying a special tribute to seven dedicated members of staff for lengthy service. Managing Director of the Swindon site, Paul Fishlock will achieve 25 years service in 2014. Transport and Stock Controller Andy Compton, Production Operative Shirley Habgood, Transport Manager John Fosset and Office and Finance Manager Ann McWhirter have all received awards for 15 years service and Sales Supervisor Tracy Hewitt and David Ashley, Inside Sales, have been recognised for ten years with the company.
