Birmingham driver shortlisted for top award

05 Jul 2019

One of our Birmingham drivers was shortlisted for a top award at the 2019 Microlise Driver of the Year Awards in ‘Most Improved Driver’ category.

Just three people from across the country were shortlisted and Trevor Crouch, 65, from Birmingham who is employed by Ryder and delivers boxes from our Birmingham site across the West Midlands, made the final three.

“This is a great accolade for Trevor and is richly deserved,” said Peter Gosling Managing Director Boxes and Packaging (Birmingham). “Trevor has been driving for the Birmingham site for more than thirty years, and is a well-liked and well respected member of our team by both his colleagues and our customers.”

Trevor, who has always worked in transport, began driving HGV’s in 1974 and was a Boxes and Packaging employee before the transport contract was outsourced to Ryder in 2011.

Trevor concluded; “This was a great honour and really pleasing to be recognised for my driving standards. It’s great to be part of the Boxes and Packaging Birmingham team and to work with staff and customers to deliver packaging across the Midlands and beyond.”
