Boxshop apprentice scoops coveted award

10 Jun 2019

Euan Glenesk, 18, an apprentice engineer with Boxshop has won the best first year apprentice award from East Kilbride Group Training Association (EKGTA) an employer led training provider for the engineering industry.

Euan, who joined Boxshop in June 2018, is undertaking an apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering Systems to support his role at Boxshop which is to support the maintenance team in the preventative maintenance of all company equipment.

“We are so very proud of Euan and offer him our warmest congratulations,” said Alison Milligan Head of Operations at Boxshop. “He has shown true commitment and diligence to both his role and his studies and it is this type of attitude that will serve him well in his future career.”

In addition to this award Euan is now also put forward to the Scottish Craft Engineering Competition where he has been invited to attend and compete in the Bench Fitting and Electrical Wiring and Testing Category.

In his spare time Euan enjoys spending time with his friends and girlfriend, playing the guitar and practising his wood and metal working skills. Euan is the second generation family member to be part of Boxshop team – his dad is a senior engineer with Boxshop – showing that such skills really do run in the Glenesk family.
