Exciting Changes for Our Scotland Sites

22 Jan 2018

With three sites North of the border, Logson Group continues to be a leading and renowned packaging supplier in all areas of Scotland from its cities to the highlands and islands.

Now a change to the senior management structure has seen the creation of a new senior role which will be undertaken by the current Boxes and Packaging Dumbarton and Glasgow Managing Director Scott Alexander. Scott will now assume responsibility for the Boxshop, in addition to Dumbarton and Glasgow. Scott will take the Boxshop into his portfolio from 1st April 2018. This takes place as current directors David and Douglas handover the reins of the business which Logson Group acquired in 2015.

Scott, who has extensive knowledge and experience of the Scottish market is ideally placed to consolidate and develop the independent businesses whilst co-ordinating a cohesive approach for business growth and investment across the country.

With this in mind, Pat Bonar has been promoted to Head of Sales for Scotland. He will develop strategy and optimise existing capacity and capabilities to ensure both Boxes and Packaging and Boxshop are well represented across the country and across a variety of sectors. Pat has been with the Boxshop since 1989.

Scott Alexander commented; “This is a new phase for our Scottish operations and one which Pat, I and the team are very much looking forward to. The phased handover from Douglas and David will be a positive experience and will enable me to ensure strategic co-ordination is achieved across the three sites driving business growth and prosperity.”

To support this vision, Grant Miller has joined the Scottish sales team as Business Development Manager bringing over 20 years’ industry experience. This consolidates the creation of a singles sales team representing Boxes and Packaging (Dumbarton) and (Glasgow) and Boxshop so that the sales strategy is delivered consistently.

Scott concluded; “I have high hopes for the Scottish region and what it can achieve in the coming months and years and I look forward to working with colleagues across the Boxes and Packaging and Logson Group.”
