English Cider Producers Discover Benefits of Corrugated Packaging

The bespoke drinks industry continues to flourish with small breweries, distilleries and makers rising to meet demand with an ever-growing product portfolio.

The South West of England is particularly renowned for its cider production and Boxes and Packaging (Bristol) is proud to work with over 30 independent cider makers – a number which continues to grow since the work commenced in 2014 and which has now expanded across England.

Chosen to present to the South West Cider Makers Association on two occasions, the quality of the design, print and production capabilities of our Bristol site is evident.

A variety of packaging solutions have been offered and utilised by the cider makers including a ‘bag in a box’ design supplying volumes of 3, 5, 10 and 20 litres in boxes which are printed with individual makers branding. This has proved to be a cost-effective solution which is fully compliant with environmental regulations, has low oxygen permeability and has Vitop® tap and gland to prevent oxygen ingress and is ideal for personal consumption or commercial supply.

Boxes with divisions are also supplied allowing multiple bottles to be packaged and dispatched with confidence whilst maintain brand identity and integrity. Gift packs and additional merchandise are also available and can be designed to offer point of sale promotion, one off special commissions or as a generalised route to market.
