Doncaster Distribution Success

Just over 12 months ago our Doncaster site consolidated its supply chain management solutions with the opening of a dedicated distribution site just a few miles away from its manufacturing site which it has occupied for almost 40 years.The unprecedented move for the Boxes and Packaging group allowed the northern site to further expand its stock and serve operations to a wider cross section of customers – an area of the business which continues to grow and prosper.

Several blue chip companies, which have chosen Boxes and Packaging (Doncaster) as their preferred supply chain partner, enjoy OTIF performance of almost 100% and the teams innovative, supportive approach has revolutionised its customers’ business operations in terms of packaging and supply solutions resulting in cost savings and streamlined operating procedures.

In 12 months the site has despatched in excess of 70,000 pallets on over 2,000 vehicles from its 52,000 sq ft site, ideally located at the side of the motorway network. Furthermore, it has received 70,000 pallets of finished goods to the distribution centre.
